Very late yesterday afternoon,, on the 28th of November, an email was forwarded to businesses in reference to waiving the annual filing fee of $300.00 in 2024 if a company provided information on already having or establishing a Maryland Saves, workplace savings plan, for employers to set up savings program to assist employees as they begin saving toward their retirement and financial goals.
All companies that file the PPT return each year should have received this email as well. It gives until December 1 (short notice) to complete two facts sheets, one for employer and one for employees.
I am finding most people are not interested, at this time, to do so. Please be advised I will still be charging the preparation fee.
