Yesterday I received a second letter in reference to the increase in home values during the last three years. This email actually stated that home prices have risen 20.1% and commercial properties 16.4%.
Make sure you file for the Homestead Tax Credit, if the home is your principal residence and you have not applied. This program provides relief for limited income homeowners by setting a limit on the amount of property taxes that they are responsible for based on their income.
