DISTRICT COURT OF ALABAMA

WOW. The District Court of Alabama ruled that the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) is unconstitutional by the US District Court for Alabama on March 1, 2024.

The National Small Business Association challenged the CTA. It was found to exceed constitutional limits by mandating small businesses to disclose their beneficial owners to Financial Crimes Enforcement. The decision raised questions about transparency, privacy rights, and the balance of regulatory oversight.

This action suspends CTA enforcement against plaintiffs, sets the stage for potential appeals, possibly reaching the Supreme Court.

An owner can still voluntarily file, if they should chose to do so.

I suggest wait and see action for a final appeal from the Supreme Court ruling.

Any questions, you know how to reach me.
